RecipesFrench Bread: Very easy if you have a mixer!2 T. active dry yeast Mix first 5 ingredients in mixer, then add flour and knead until elastic. Let dough rise for 10 minutes; then mix for a few seconds. Repeat this 5 times for a total of 50 minutes. Shape dough into 2-4 rectangles and roll into 2-4 long rolls (depending on how big you want your loaf to be). Place on jelly roll pan or cookie sheet and let rise to double in warm place. Bake at 400 degrees for 12-20 minutes (depending on how big your loaves are). Bread is done when golden brown. Immediately brush with butter after taking loaves out of oven. |
