Journal Entries > And everywhere he went -  he was runnin'...

Trent has been walking for several months now, and now he has graduated to running!  Sometimes he runs too fast and he loses his footing and SMACK!  Right in the kisser onto the floor.  He's a pro at going up and down the stairs, but he prefers someone to carry him down (out of pure laziness).  Trent wakes up at 7am, and eats oaties or cream of wheat.  He loves to feed himself, and he even gets most of it in his mouth!  He doesn't use his spoon too much, though.  Hands are much faster at getting the food in his mouth.

Braxton has been turning into a great little helper.  He does his chores each day, which we call his "work."  He sets the table for dinner, clears his spot after each meal, and helps clean up his toys before bedtime.  When we ask him to do something, sometimes he whines or complains- but when we say, "Come do your work!"  He jumps up and excitedly does whatever it is.  He knows that Dad goes somewhere in the car to work, Mom works on the computer at nap time, and he does his work as stated above.  Braxton has also just finished eight sessions of speech therapy.  He is doing very well!  He went from saying, "Juice, ma!"  To, "I want juice, please!"  He loves his teacher, April- especially when she plays the "hide the cards" game.

Both boys love to dress up in costumes of any sort.  Trent has been dressing up in his skeleton suit all month, and Braxton likes to wear his big bird costume.  Both like to put on their superman capes that Claire Fogelquist made for them (a party favor at Monte's birthday party).  Trent is going to be an elephant for Halloween, but we are borrowing that costume from the neighbors (the Winfields) so we don't want to wear that one everyday.

Trent loves to eat... everything and anything.  Okay- he has decided that he no longer likes sandwiches, but anything else just goes right in his mouth.  Peas, carrots, noodles, rice, soup, eggs, cookies, cinnamon rolls- you name it, he'll eat it.  This is starkly contrasted with his brother's eating habits.  After much prodding and a long process, he will try one bite of our dinner- and then gag and almost throw up (sometimes it's a full-on upchuck so you have to watch out!)  He basically lives on sandwiches, oaties, chicken nuggets, prune juice, and french fries.

Amber is loving Curves for Women, and she has lost 20 pounds and 6 dress sizes in the last 4 months.  Jared has been playing flag football on Saturday mornings, and always seems to pull something!  We're all running around everywhere having fun and staying busy.  =)
